The files have highlighting lyrics on screen plus entertaining visualizations in the background. All the files are played in a sharp resolution of 640x480 using 24 bit color (16.7 million colors). All the audio is mp3 at 128 kbps (C.D. quality) recorded from a band in a professional studio with background vocals during duet parts of songs.

Detailed Description: VCD (also called video CD, video compact disc or "disc") is a compact disk format based on CD-ROM XA that is specifically designed to hold MPEG-1 video data and to include interactive capabilities. VCD has a resolution similar to that of VHS, which is far short of the resolution of DVD. Each VCD disk holds 72-74 minutes of video and has a data transfer rate of 1.44 Mbps. VCDs can be played on a VCD player connected to a television set (in the same way that video cassettes can on a VCR) or computer, on a CD-i player, on some CD-ROM drives, and some DVD players. |

Detailed description: CDG is a standard that was defined to take advantage of the extra unused space on a regular CD audio disc. This area is used to hold graphical data, in the form of pictures and text and special instructions to display that data synchronized to the audio playback. Because of the limitation of computer technology at the time the standard was designed the graphics are limited to a resolution of 300x216 in 16 colors (from a total of 4096 colors). |
